AIM's meal plans, assistant and voice input are produced by an AI service run by another
company. Nothing is sent until you agree.
Who your data is sent to
-
Microsoft Azure OpenAI Service
operated by Microsoft Corporation
Generates meal plans, recipe ideas, weekly tips, meal swaps and assistant replies.
-
Microsoft Azure AI Speech
operated by Microsoft Corporation
Converts voice recordings you make in AIM into text.
What is sent
- What you type or say to AIM — assistant messages, recipe searches, voice recordings and their transcripts.
- Your dietary preferences, food allergies and foods you dislike.
- Health conditions you selected and medications you entered, so AIM can flag possible food interactions.
- Basic body metrics used for calorie targets — age, gender, height, weight and activity level.
- Household details used to size and split meals — household size, and the first name, age and dietary needs of each family member you added.
- Your kitchen equipment, preferred cuisines, grocery budget and your current and recent meal plans.
Only the details needed for the request you make are included.
What is never sent
- Your name, email address, password or account credentials.
- Your payment or subscription billing details.
- Your precise location, contacts, photos library or device identifiers.
How it's handled
- Microsoft processes this data only to return AIM's result. It is not used to train or improve any AI model. Microsoft may retain it briefly for abuse monitoring under its Azure OpenAI service terms.
- AIM does not sell this data or use it for third-party advertising, and does not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
- You can change your mind at any time in Profile → Account → AI data sharing. AIM keeps working without AI features.
